the make-believe autumn.

hello october, nice to see you :)
it's autumn season on the Northern hemisphere this time around, spring on the Southern, and for us in the tropics...well, it's always the same s**t for the whole year, LOL.
but for now, the best we can get is that rainy-gloomy-chilly weather (which is my favorite!), at least the mood feels similar to autumn :P
there will be more excuses for intimate coffee dates or for the sinful midnight snacks :)
what i love about autumn is that when the weather starts to get chilly but not ridiculously cold, so we get to stack up some reasonable number of layers on our outfit (to cover those cute muffin tops we get from midnight snacks :P).
and most important thing is the colors. beautiful and humble dark tones with nothing too striking, i love em.
so for this post, i put a hint of autumn colors on my outfit. simply to satisfy my longing about spending autumns in Melbourne with my special ones there.

those of you who actually read my writings might already know that i'm more of a past person.
while others are busy dreaming about future, i take my time in reminiscing good memories. and (frankly) i think it's the thing that keeps me going forward.

"Make your life a story worth telling" is my foremost motto in life.

after that, then comes the famous Mark Twain quote:
"Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things you didn’t do than by the ones you did do. So throw off the bowlines. Sail away from the safe harbor. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover."

i always have strong desire to make great memories in every part of my life.
i want to be like those grandmas who has unlimited stories to tell to their grandchildren :)
and i like to reminisce because by doing that i realize how interesting my life has been and that how i am triggered and motivated to make new great memories.

right now i'm back in a safe harbor after finished my short sailing journey out there. i consider this moment as time to adjust my sails and fix my boat...before i finally go back out there. i know i would be back out there eventually ;) and i am dying waiting until that time finally comes.

ooh autumn, see what you've done to me. you got me floating in my sky of make-believe thoughts again :D

all black attack.

who knows having a skinny boyfriend would give me many advantages? lol.
i am referring to this black sweater. just when i was contemplating to buy a new black sweater to match my new black cut-out shoes, there my bf said "i have one, why don't you take mine?". i was like "ooh you sweet boy really complete me." :P
somehow this sweater gives a perfect oversized look on me.
and it'd never left my wardrobe since then.. haha..

to be honest, nothing boosts my confidence as much as an all-black outfit would do. i'm sure i'm not the only one with that thinking.
it kinda combines all the contradictions into one.
it's got the feel of being unseen and standing out at the same time. it's (scientifically) all colors which mixed together becoming one. simple style, yet with a complex mood. classic and also very modern.
and i can go on..and on..and on about it :)

P.S: you will see me wearing black more often on my next posts (and most likely with more stolen borrowed boy outfit ;P)

under-construction.

how is it possible that day by day goes so static and slow, but years go super fast??
i always feel that nothing's really changed in my life in this past 1,5 years..but suddenly when i looked back, i was surprised that actually EVERYTHING has changed.

1,5 years ago, i remember we (my bf and i) were still enjoying our life coming back here in Indonesia...played hard with our old friends from highschool, then couple of months later we decided to start a tiny photography business together..which brought us into a longgg ride of emotional roller-coaster since then (yea it was such a hardwork to control the personal relationship vs business/professional relationship situation. AND to maintain both in good condition at the same time!)

and now a year later, just like in these photos, we found ourselves standing on a path that is still under-construction.
a path that we've been working on together towards our next life goal(s), and eventually towards our ultimate dream (which i cannot tell you about just yet..). and nothing beats the feeling when we find that we're actually making significant progress more than we realized.
at this point, we are two people with more synchronized life visions, and with a better shaped tiny business in hand.
and we can't wait to face what's next :D

step by step, i like to live life and build my path slow but solid and certain.. speedy process isn't my thing. i want to experience as many bads and goods as possible in each step we take. it's the journey that matters, right?
so that is our way to keep our journey meaningful.  :)

 
 

 
 

decision alteration.

these few months have been pretty good to me. ever since our family got out of the hardships by God's grace, we are pretty much happy again :)
it's like we're looking at a clear sky again after long time!
there's so much new hopes and we can't wait to move on..
all of our plans that have been postponed, now seems possible and within reach (although of course it still needs time to be happened).
as for my personal plans, of course some things have to be adjusted...some decisions have to be altered.. and pretty soon i know my life is going to change. but anyway, i really hope that this positive energy will last for longgggg time :D
in the mean time, i just need to get prepared of what's ahead of me ;)

yep, i finally had time to take shots of outfits again after long time..
decided to take a week off after all the work i've been doing. latest projects are done, i feel like myself again.
deadlines have been kicking my ass all this while. my thoughts were overlapping one to another. i know i should be thanking, not whining, but gosh the fresh air of no work smells better!
by the way, summer has been showing her face lately. sunlights and warm nights.
i could use a holiday right now... i miss the beach!

multitask.

oh gosh.. how i wish i'm those awesome girls who can multitask.

working up a just-started business really consumed me.. had to juggle up between endless hours staring at the computer - editing photos, lots and lots of brainstorming, house chores and backpain. tell me where exactly should i squeeze blogging into those?
